It provides deep grounding during yoga or meditation practice, while allowing to raise his spirits. Each Mala reveals your inner journey.

BY THE WAY… WHAT IS A MALA?

Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning “Garland”

IT CONSISTS OF 108 BEADS

108 is a sacred cosmic number with deep significance. This 108 beads composition is complemented by one central larger bead, known as the Guru bead, which represents the spiritual guide, or Universal energy. Below the Guru bead is the tassel, symbolizing the Lotus flower, emblem of Higher consciousness.

IT’S A NECKLACE FOR MEDITATION AND PRAYERS

It is similar to other prayer beads used in various spiritual traditions around the world.
It is used notably in Buddhism, Hinduism, and in the practice of Yoga.

HOW MY MALAS ARE MADE

When the stones arrive at my workshop

I FIRST PERFORM A PURIFICATION CEREMONY TO CLEANSE THEM OF ANY PREVIOUS ENERGIES.

-For those that can withstand salt water, I immerse them in the Mediterranean Sea, in a protected coastal area of my island—an always emotional moment. They then join those that cannot tolerate salt.
-I bathe them all together in water drawn from our underground well, which is of incredible purity.
-The most delicate stones are included in the third step: purification through the smoke of my smudging bundles (bundles I make myself from my garden plants—lavender, rosemary, bay leaf, and sage—gathered and dried under the sun). All these purifying energies carry the essence of Mallorca.

Then comes the moment to recharge them

I truly have everything I need here on this incredible island: the sun for 300 days a year, a moon so bright it is sometimes visible even during the day, and magnificent starry nights… So, I choose clear days and cloudless nights around the full moon to let them recharge under the Mallorcan sky for a full day and night. Then, I carefully store them until I am ready to work with them.

Finally, I begin assembling the Mala…

I SELECT THE STONES, SEEDS, OR RAW WOOD BASED ON THEIR RESPECTIVE ENERGIES, INCLUDING THE GURU BEAD.

Sometimes, I add small breathing beads to create a rhythm that harmonizes with the stones and the Mala’s theme.
I use solid silver, brass, or 18k gold-plated beads.
